Eclipse TS100 inverted microscope was introduced in 1999 to replace the wildly successful Nikon TMS microscope, which had been an industry staple for 17 years. The TS100 was a new generation microscope designed to incorporate the then new infinity optical system which allowed modules to be placed between the eyepiece and the objectives without changing the image.
