TAB is an alternate assembly method which uses a thin, flexible film of laminated copper and polyamide in place of a conventional package. In a TAB assembled device, the die is bonded directly to copper leads, thereby eliminating the need for wire bonding. The Company's principal TAB bonder is the Model SP2100.
