Cohu acquires Rasco, extending Cohu’s leadership position in the semiconductor test handler market with the addition of gravity-feed handlers.

The SO2000 high speed gravity test handler is designed to handle the smallest devices. With split kit capability the SO2000 can handle two different packages in one handler.
Easy and quick package conversion, no shim exchange necessary, tube length adjustable for fast conversion.

Featuring a fast plunger with up to four plunger heads for high speed and high throughput with index time down to 450 ms. Available in single, dual, and quad configurations.

The SO2000 has a small footprint and is low weight with a user-friendly operator interface.

Rasco’s Saturn and Jupiter are Cohu's next generation gravity handlers delivering a fast index time capability with up to 8 devices tested in parallel at cold and/or hot temperature. Jupiter is a version that enables testing of medium to very large packaged integrated circuits typically serving the power management device market.

The Jaguar (formerly called SO3000) test-in-strip handler can process an entire strip at once or index the strip for single/multiple device testing. The system has tri-temperature capability, accommodates either stacked or slotted input/output media and is configured with automated vision alignment. The Jaguar is also a solution for in-process testing of next generation multi-stacked packages.

The RASCO SO 1000A is a versatile handler system designed to work with metal/plastic tubes sized between 3.5 mm to 15 mm. It is capable of accommodating multiple MEMS applications, including power and high voltage, automotive power, logic, amplifier, linear, RF, communication, and sensor testing. With a high throughput of up to 14,400 units per hour (UPH), the RASCO SO 1000A offers efficient and reliable testing for a wide range of devices.

Rasco’s SO7000 MEMS series are modules that generate a physical stimuli for testing of sensor integrated circuits typically used in the automotive (tire pressure, airbag sensors) and consumer electronics (tilt, motion and light sensors) industries. The SO7000 modules are stand-alone units that can be integrated into Delta’s or Rasco’s pick-and-place, test-in-strip, or gravity-feed handlers.
